Two joints from Boosie’s new tape Da Beginning. You already know I’m a sucker for the soulful side of Trill Ent, and their production team is rapidly growing into that sound while simultaneously making gang loads of money with their ignorant pop rap moves. I respect that. Boosie Bad Azz even gets a little… dare I say it?… political on “Dirty World.” Though “little kids can’t count to ten / but they can spell Lil’ Boosie’s name” is probably not something to brag about, as he does on “Donkey.”

This is one of those joints where I listen to it ten times in a row on zshare repeat before I even realize that half an hour has passed. And then it’s my favorite record. Is this the web 2.0 equivalent to radio brainwashing? Jimi Jump is a kid from Baton Rouge in the Trill vein who is having a minor hit with “Too Pieces.” The remix just dropped. Juve comes off even if his verse is sounding a little phoned in. Mouse is quickly becoming my favorite rapping producer. Upped both mixes for y’all.
