Atlanta Grandpas

Ghetto Mafia f/ Shawty Lo – “Trap Be Jumpin (Remix)“
Ghetto Mafia f/ Shawty Lo – “Trap Be Jumpin (Eastside/Westside Mix)“
Yin Yang Twins f/ The Hard Boys & Kilo Ali – “No Panties“
Never let it be said that the A doesn’t support it’s OGs. Both these songs are a few months old but I’m only hearing them now. I’ve got Hard Boys & Ghetto Mafia videos after the jump, for a too brief history lesson. There aren’t any good Kilo videos on youtube but his wikipedia page is actually pretty detailed.

I AINT GOIN DOWN!
i was just watching this vid not to long ago…
crazy, when hard boys, GM, Kilo, Kizzy Rock and all them was out, most folks from Atlanta wanted to be from everywhere else…hell, even when Kast first dropped, folks wanted to act like they was from NYC so they kept bumping their Enter the 36 albums…wasnt until Greg Street (came from Texas) and started showing the hoods love on the radio that people wanted to act like they was proud to be from here…

That’s fucked up about Kilo. He can’t stay out of jail to save his life. Kind of literally.

And Maurice, the reason people didn’t like that stuff is because a lot of it just bit miami bass. That sound isn’t for everyone, hometown or not. I didn’t listen to Atlanta Music until Drama and Pastor started yelling and shit and being buckwild.
