Brevity Is The Soul Of Wit

Big shout to the man known only as Realhiphopsucks01. I first became aware of RHHS when he left this stirring comment on an Organized Konfusion video I posted: “THIS GROUP IS YOUNG JOC IS BETTER.” I then began to notice like comments on other classic hip hop videos. A cursory google search brought up similar accusations. 327 of them. “D4L and soulja boy will eat gza on the mic.” “fuck biggie i’m happy big is dead” or the customary “wack shit” or “wack song” or “this shit is wack,” often followed by just a “fag,” when met with retaliation. Said retaliation usually takes the form of a long winded, passionate, poorly punctuated reply about the tenets of true hip hop, questioning our young hero’s sexuality or calling for a lynching ala NYOil (seriously) in the process.

RHHS succeeds in delivering such hatred with such simplicity. Pulling the skirts and ruffling the feathers of every Youtube user with a Can-I-Bus avatar and an agenda in three words or less. Dropping the word “faggot” like it was a hot plate. It’s really quite brilliant, artistic even. In a world where a major writers strike is set to demolish the hollywood model in favor of amateurish web blasts and #1 Ringtones is something to strive for, it’s these minute bursts that will fuel the entertainment of the future. Inciteful and insightful. So it is with much respect that I hereby grant Realhiphopsucks01 with Cocaineblunts.com’s inaugural Youtube Commenter of The Week Award! You earned it, buddy. Please visit any participating Olive Garden to receive your complementary all you can eat garlic bread.

And no, before you ask, I am not behind that user name. Sadly, I lack that vision. I only listen to that real shit. Nahwahumsayin. Redman, Black Moon, Wu-Tang. I don’t fool wit them Goudie Mobs and I especially don’t fool with them E-Four Tees. Besides, I’m unable to engage in such trivial endeavors as I have actual responsibilities to tend to (which, ironically include over-thinking the trivial endeavors of others).I am just a huge fan of dissent, especially when in favor of the silent majority.

L’Chaim, Realhiphopsucks01!

    “Record hatin’ bitcheeeeeees”…

yo, dont forget about us YouTube sticklers who take on the task of correcting commenters who think that Witchdoctor’s “Best Year” is his first video/single EVER, or spend time answering dumbass questions like “why did they leave 2Pac out of the “Dusted & Disgusted” video?” We need an award too, haahhaaha.

  2. ayo Says:

    they don’t like e-40?

  3. SukedowN Says:

Possible canditate for the Internets/Interweb Hater of the Year Award?!?

But for real, perhaps only unique is the frequency of his hating, because the content itself is not unlike any other mad-at-the-world 17 yr old who enjoys the comfort of the anonymity of the Internets.

I disagree, it’s more than just frequency that makes his body of work stand out from his peers. We are dealing with a creative force who is mercilessly specific to the point of rhythm. He understands the economy of language and use it to his advantage. Quite frankly he is a new media genius.

Hating is much like that game MINESWEEPER – easy to learn, difficult to master.

there was a piece in the nyt a few weeks back on people striving to have the most talked-about comments. normally, they’re long, intellectual diatribes. somehow, this guy managed to do it with so few words.

  6. eauhellzgnaw Says:

I bet that this character uses aliases to bash ringtone rap too.

I don’t remember Sheed saying anything about Goodie Mob on Rap City, but I do remember an uncomfortable Joe Clair pretending to like E 40.

Did Sheed really include Goodie in that or was E 40 just tryin to gain some allies?

  7. JimT Says:

Noz, you are right in praising this guy. He has a real vision and sticks with it.

  8. Thaddeus Clark Says:

‘better learn to respect your elders main, I’m twomp eight fool ain’t no need for you to record hate.”

  9. DocZeus Says:

I personally think he’s biting Shakobe from SOHH.com’s forums something fierce.

  10. Tray Says:

Maybe I could start the same gimmick, only I’ll do it with Goodie Mob and UGK. They actually are wack though! Well, not wack, but I honestly don’t believe that Ridin Dirty is a great or even good record. I listened to it twice, mildly enjoyed Murder, yawned through everything else, and that was about it.

“Maybe I could start the same gimmick, only I’ll do it with Goodie Mob and UGK.”

YO THAT WOULD MAKE ME SO MAD, SON.

    “I listened to it twice”

    INFORMED OPINION.

    YEAH
THAT ACCOUNT IS FUNNY AS HELL

  13. Tray Says:

I mean, I’m not going to listen to the same boring-ass record over and over until it suddenly turns into a magic slipper on the twelfth listen. How many times could you even bear to listen to, say, Food And Liquor? And yet I’m sure you have your opinion of it. It didn’t really stack up to something like Comin Out Hard or Ice Cream Man (a slept on classic) for me, Pimp C’s rapping was pretty shaky at times (which is always the case, but back then he was rawer than raw, and kind of derivative as well), the music was this uncomfortable smoothed-out melange of blues and easy listening vibes and really awful and pointless singing (at least Mo B. Dick was funny), and Bun was… good, but not the monster he was on other people’s records. To me they’re a lot like in-their-prime Mobb Deep – except if you divided everyone’s respective talents by three.

  14. E AKA THE REAL NORIEAGA Says:

    brilliant

  15. noz Says:

Yes but wouldn’t you also say that Eightball & MJG is quite similar to in-their-prime Capone & Noreaga except if one of them had too much of their respective cake and ate it too? (at least Tragedy was tragic)

  16. SukedowN Says:

    >> “Ice Cream Man”

Slept-on, as in all copies recycled and turned into fleece pillows?

  17. Al aka El Negro Magnifico Says:

    Yup, dude’s a genius!
