to whom & innercity griots are essential… freestyle are def slept on

  2. david Says:

dopeshit…i think the moment for these guys passed a long long time ago…these new underground heads are kinda like those people that go to Renaissance fairs and pretend they live in a diffrent era….that would be dope for them to make a final album tho

  3. Nick Says:

Honestly…the last Fellowship album wasn´t good.
People aren´t expecting much from these cats anymore. But hopefully they´ll teach us better…..
    Anyway…dope performance

  4. mark p. Says:

This looked like a great show, the crowd is hype as fuck!

I agree with the people doubting whether these guys are still capable of making great music though. I’m still hoping for the Fellowship/E-40 collab that I’ve always wanted…

  5. tamam Says:

Clearly this is footage of the crew doing material off the first two albums- so that event clearly bled nostalgia for hiphop’s renaissance. But if anybody could age gracefully in this infernally Oedipal/Ganeshian medium we call hiphop, it’d be these guys. And Hov, of course.

  6. david Says:

hov age gracefully??? please get off his nuts…dudes never won one lyrical battle

  7. noz Says:

Yeah I’m not sure if them recording a full length is a good idea at this point. Maybe just one strong single ala “Can You Find The Difficulty.” And an East Coast tour date, of course.

Really I’d be happy if Jup just stayed out of jail long enough to make another solo album. His Hard Hat Area was far and above the best thing any of those guys did in the last decade.

  8. CV Says:

i’d like to see FF do the following
    1. A traditional boom bap style album produced by people like Omid, Fatjack, and deeskee…no madlib
    2. A live band type joint but get someone like ceschi and his band to record it (kinda like how ngafsh was sounding pretty good on that Toca record
    3. I really hate that sound right now, but imagine these guys going nuts over some crazy LA glitch hop type shit

  9. david Says:

chances are it would be dubstep…the LA underground is completley lost right now if you ask me…theyre takng sounds from other areas(england) instead of paving their own way, which to me is what the la underground was all about for a long long time….

  10. Ninoy Brown Says:

Im mad I didnt roll to this. I was in LA last week and was trying to roll but the homies I was with lagged.

  11. noz Says:

“I really hate that sound right now, but imagine these guys going nuts over some crazy LA glitch hop type shit”

See Mikah/Prefuse Life/Death. An entire album of that would be suffocating.

  12. nico Says:

Dope. Noz – you should try to hook one of those wonderful interviews you do here, with Jupiter.

All sorts of information about him I’d love to know?

    What’d he serve for?

  13. Tamam Says:

Obviously a man who most famously was 36 in karate class and sports a trophy wife who under reports her own age by at least 5 years isn’t actually aging gracefully- so there was knowing wink there. Still, my mind’s made up- until proven otherwise, whatever they produce will be amazing. After all

    “What’d he serve for?”
here’s what it says on the blowed blog
“For all of you who don’t know… during the George Bush era, the President sent a small group of talented M.C.’s to a concentration camp to tap into their brains and extract valuable information that could be used to destroy hip hop, and erase the recipe for Pecan Pie from the minds of our elders. Self Jupiter was amongst those M.C.’s. Now many years & escape attempts later, under the Obama Administrations appeal of such hrsh treatment of Emcee’s Jup is back!”

So we might finally have some decent pecan pie now

  14. david Says:

ANNOTHER QUESTION…WTF HAPPEND TO P.E.A.C.E. HAND????

AND WHY WASNT ACEYALONE AFFILIATED WITH THE “THIS IS THE LIFE” DOCUMENTARY??

MY THEORY??: HE USED TO BANG OUT EVE AND GOT GRAPES CUZ HER MOVIE CAME OUT 1ST

  15. noz Says:

Peace lost his finger in a car crash around ‘01.

  16. JoeMomma Says:

” Howw doo you figure these emcee’s deliveries compete with heavyweights in a world wide who’s who ” etc etc

  17. cla Says:

jupiters got on a tie beenie!

Anyhow, I don’t know what happened. It seemed like the masses kinda rose up to FF’s style, and these folks kinda dumbed down their styles. In that process FF kinda missed the mark and drowned in the mediocrity. I don’t know why folks aren’t making the beats like they use to. Not to say what we have nowadays is all wack, but I think there is just so much out there, no one really shines or stands out anymore.

  18. konga Says:

myka’s releases are still dope. the whole 1969 album + some tracks of magic heart genies.

i think the new fellowship album will be good.

Eve was on the radio I heard and said AC decided he didn’t want to be in it but she asked him to do it a couple times. She said he has his own reasons. To be honest I didn’t miss him either way. AC spoke on it at SXSW that he shoulda done it but he’s working on a Blowed one. Eve used to be with M9 not AC back in the day so AC wasn’t hittin it but maybe he got jealous..Lmwao

  21. konga Says:

    lol.

i think its good that acey makes a doc on pb. that one cant be the one and only: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4887234840710608265

  24. RonDelums Says:

Threw in Innercity Griots tape over the weekend- magic. With all that talent still bubbling individually, I’d like to hear them come together for another album.

  25. DAN THE MAN Says:

Can´t wait to hear new shit from the f-ship reunited.
last myka9 releases were pretty dope!
new stuff from peace & jup would be awesome….
