Video: Hieroglyphics Rap City Freestyle ‘98
The some shit you’ve never seen series returns. This originally ran as part of the Hiero Rap City episode supporting Third Eye Vision (yes there was once a two hour block on daytime BET dedicated to the Hieroglyphics crew) though this video was ripped from a later “Best Of Rap City Freestyles” episode, which accounts for a few of the jerky and random edits. (A few more are my doing though). Hit the jump for bonus footage of Ras Kass and the great Joe Clair freestyling as the credits run over their faces.

Gotta love Hiero – I could listen to this shit all day. So natural.

Nice ish. Would love to hear that Casual ‘Meanwhile’ album. Jake One should do an all Cas album ala Freeway ‘Stimulus Package’. Or an even better Oaktown fanboy fantasy is an all Jake Uno produced Casual-Keak collabo joint.

” Jake One should do an all Cas album ala Freeway ‘Stimulus Package’.”
I think I remember Cas talking about this happening on youtube.

I wonder if that was the same episode when Ras was flying around in a helicopter with Big Lez.

The entire content of Meanwhile can be found over at T.R.O.Y in one of the Hiero producer compilation methinks. The whole tape has that raw, spur of the moment catching wreck over breaks feel to it… I wouldn’t be surprised if he never meant it to be an album proper.
