I ‘unno, i suppose i really like rap videos, especially low budget ones.
But i do think the videos to Back In The Day and Mind Of A Maniac as well as other post-12″ ‘net videos like Mac 10 Handle, Curtis, Rich And Poor etc are just classic rap vids which capture the songs perfectly and have enhanced my enjoyment of ‘em.
The only reason I really watch old videos is out of nostalgia, and these days, since I never watch videos on TV anymore (which I imagine is true of most people above the age of 16), I don’t think I’ll ever become nostalgic for the videos coming out today.
At least Gucci’s smart enough to do low budget shot-in-one-day ass videos.
A lot of artists still seem to want that hype williams/spielberg effect when I don’t think those videos really have the impact that they did 5 yrs ago.

Yeah, Boosie’s had 6 vids so far this year : Top Notch, Loose As A Goose, We Out Chea, Back In The Day, I’m A Dog and Mind Of A Maniac.
The one upside of the death of the traditional 12″ single is the rise of the internet video single.

It sucks that the audio quality on this video sounds waaay better than the actual mp3.

I guess? I’m rarely inspired to revisit any of these vids.

Noz, you forgot about Officer Ricky and his video spree this year… He dropped a low budget video damn near every day…
