In a perfect world, somebody would put these out as a cd series with lavish packaging and extensive liner notes.
Instead we live in a world where Norweigans press Herb McGruff demos onto wax, pop them into generic plain black 12″ sleeves and sell them to their internet social circle for 50 – 60 bucks a pop.

as a norwegian Imma have to take offense. those mcgruff-demos were pressed by some UK dudes, and when Too Short played his first gig here this year(!) there was about fifty dudes in the front row who knew every word to “Freaky Tales” (the “born to mack” version).
on general basis I agree though.

Norway is more a state-of-mind than an actual locale.
The word Norweigan describes the type of rap fans who haven’t really bought any new records since 2000 that either release pre-manufactured rare 12″s of often awful quality unreleased material by 90s east coast rappers for 6 times the normal price of a regular 12″ to the select group of people who post on their forum, or the actual people from their forum who buy the aforementioned Pokemon Card type 12″s so they can post pictures of them on their Myspace producer accounts before filing the records away and never listening to them again.
