The unofficial Bay Day of SSYNH Week continues. A couple people were requesting rare Saafir in the request thread. My Hobo crates aren’t incredibly deep, but here are a couple joints are not so common on the RS network. Most people tend to assume that Saafir’s first recorded appearance was on Digital’s Body Hat Syndrome, but prior to that he turned up on this promo only, slightly cheesy yet also very dope Raw Fusion posse cut. It’s astonishing how much Saafir’s style evolved between this cut and when he was spitting on Casual’s album just a year later. The track also features a short verse by a little known emcee by the name of Tupac Shakur. He didn’t record much else after this verse, I don’t think. Which is a shame, it seems like he could have been moderately successful had he continued rapping.
“Rock The Show” appeared on the promo-only “Battle Drill” 12″, “Pull Ya Card” is a slightly less rare B-side. And “Fatal Thoughts” is a random Hobo loosie that was the flip side to Eyecue’s “Dirt Hustlin” Cassingle.
Props to wherever I downloaded “Fatal Thoughts” and “Pass The 40″ from. I don’t actually own those tapes.

*also I once way a Pull Ya Card promo with an acapella..so that is floating out there somewhere.
