Oft overlooked LP from this Morgan City, LA trio. The rapping, courtesy of Will Chill, Money and Tech is cool but not especially notable, but the production, split down the middle between Pimp C and Beats By The Pound’s Mo B Dick, is damn near perfection. Right in line with UGK, Organzied Noize and some of the more soulful No Limit sides. I’m basically a sucker for any Curtis loop. (Also any CURRRTIIISSS loop)
This was the short lived group’s only album, and as I understand it some or all of the members are now locked up.

Bounce tempo & that sample & Bun on the hook = crack-cocaine.
This is the first time I’ve ever heard Bun over a true bounce tempo. Any other such instances?
