    Excellent, thanks for the rip. You’d think the Bronx-based D-Nice was big enough at the time for the other dude to change his name, but maybe not.

    And who is the mysterious “Northside Productions” that did the beats? This group? Tony D?

    I don’t think it’s a production unit in the beat making sense, just the name of the crew, as there are seperate “music by” credits on the 12″s. Basically I think it’s just whoever was around Salih/James Lee at whatever moment – sometimes Tony D, Eric IQ or DJ Cutmaster B. Tape is purposely vague and mentions none of those dudes for some reason.
