from Cold Bassin’ It Up 12″ (Charles Jr., 1988)
Here’s a very minor addition to that old A-Town Rapp compilation, courtesy of Adidas clad Martel Homes representative Dirty Red. As far as I know this was Dirty Red’s only 12″, produced by D-Rock maestro Swift C. “Bassin’ It Up” is a serviceable Atlanta bass jam, but the b-side wins (again) with Red rocking an 808 heavy battle track ala “Eliminator” or “Hitman”. Or, you know, every early LL Cool J record ever. The shadow of young James Todd hovers eternally over old school Atlanta.

Great Jam, DJ Swift C was Dirty Red’s lil brother – went to High School with these cats – they were fresh to def. Checkout the D-Rock Jam too.
