My own words have never tasted better. Just a few weeks ago I was lamenting the web’s inability to produce detailed oral histories in the vein of XXL’s excellent “Making Of” series, then the virtually unknown prime domain real estate upstart hiphop.com smacks us all in the dome with just that: “The Making Of 3 Ft. High & Rising“. Angus Batey talks to De La, Prince Paul, Baby Bam, Kool Keith, Chuck D, and the Beastie Boys about the making and impact of that historic record. Here are some 3 Ft. B-sides to score your reading experience and an EPK to further enhance it.

Ah, then I guess I was talking about “Double Huey” when I mentioned the Muppets. What’s kind of funny is that the guitar line in “Freedom of Speech” sounds a lot like the theme from Sesame Street, not that I’m saying that’s where it’s from (I’m not).
