Iss de typical Pfork review mayn, where de fucka literally says NOTHIN in de firss 3 praragraphs befo casually dismissin de album becuz Ro “complains”, which dis perpatrtor describes as “dulling, frustrating, and more than a little repulsive”. ….De fuck mayn? Dis dunnit even do justice to de fuckery goin on in de review mayn, as dis guy also goes on ta talk bout Ro being “content playin the noncommittal grump” to Trae’s “whorls of emotional concision”.

its impossible to take reviews like that seriously. those critics constantly miss the point when it comes to all the different aspects of hip hop. and you can be damn sure none of them listen to the records they review on a stereo with a subwoofer. which makes their opinion invalid off the top

man in my opinion that review aint even that badly written — if anything hes describing the mood of the record pretty accurately –just totally fucking off point when it comes to the quality of the album, its a really confusing review where the reviewer got the mood but missed the entire point & obviously has no context for Ro’s shit
i dunno his review makes me want to check for it but what a fucking awful score — it just sounds really dishonest & stupid to read those conclusions about the record
