A Masters Degree In Rocking Parties

Robbie from Unkut has a great interview with Fantasy Three member and mentor to both LL and G Rap, Silver Fox. Read it if you don’t hate hip hop.

I assume this is the same dude that was on the alleged cassette-only release on Clappers “Up Against the Beast” with Brother D.
I wonder: has anyone actually heard this recording (and can post audio)?

On discogs it looks like it’s a different Silver Fox.
I’d still be curious to hear that. “Black Nation Rise” is a cool record.

Hmm… yeah.
Based on the tracklist ( http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=1524899 ) I would guess it’s really a reggae album by the other Silver Fox with the Brother track and its instrumental tacked on.

But then again, upon further review, it appears that the reggae artist Silver Fox’s big record was a combination tune with Wayne Jarrett, a Jamaican singer who did some recording in the Bronx. I could see a NY rapper circa 1984 dropping some dibby-dibby deejay Shinhead style lyrics on a record like that.
