You’re probably not paying attention to Juvenile right now, but you should be. If this video and Uptown Nolia Boy are any indication, Diary Of A Soulja Hard Labor is shaping up to be a beast. Dude is hungry as ever. And all this Mannie! Waaaaah.

mannie fresh loverman raps: i need it in my life

I actually think Mannie is the more washed-up of the two. Although that beat is pretty great. Anyway, I usually stop checking for a rapper after four mediocre albums.

This shit rules!! I’m praying for an entire album produced by Mannie, it’d definitely be one of the albums of the year.

I’ve been raving about “Who Can I Run To?” since the end of 2007: http://until-the-train-stops.blogspot.com/2007/09/emcee-drag-bitch-through-mud.html
Great song. I can’t wait for the album. Any speculation as to a release date yet?

Oh how i love this Who can i run to beat !
Is it me, or is Juvie sounding just like some old JT Money Pimpin on Wax ?
January 25th, 2009 at 7:42 pm
In another time in my life, I used a sample from the Xscape version of “Who Can I Run To” for a beat I did so it’s ji cool to hear Mannie using it in a track for the masses. I’m also glad that Juvie’s back on his shit in ’09, this coming from one of the few hip hop fans in DC who couldn’t stand Cash Money when they hit the scene in ’98. It took for the demise of the label for me to appreciate the former members’ lyrics and sound. Better late than never I guess.

i’m not tryna be that dude that says “oh this shit is old, dude, i had this a while ago.” but it actually is an old track. like ’05 i think. but i like it a lot. i’m happy juve is coming back out with a mixtape.
